Ultimate Edition Available For One Day Only
EA has revealed what they call "the most extensive global pre-order incentive in the history of the FIFA franchise" with a DLC-packed Ultimate Edition for FIFA 13, alongside two retailer-specific UK pre-order bonuses.
The FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition will only be available on September 28, 2012, the European launch date. It offers 24 FIFA Ultimate Team Gold packs dished out once per week, each of which offers a random mix of players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, balls, kits, and badges. Gold Packs are guaranteed to contain at least one rare 'item' alongside players rated at 75+ in game. In effect, they'll function much likes the upgrade packs in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode, but with "enhanced player attributes, longer contracts and the most coveted players" instead of guns and special ammunition.
