Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to Steam with better graphics

Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD made the jump from PSP to PS4 and Xbox One, but there's one last stop for Square's action-RPG. A new Steam version has been announced as a definitive edition rather than a port.

According to the details sent to Dealspwn.com, the new version features "new graphical options for high-end PC users," which is always good to know. In line with feedback from reviewers and fans, it will also boast "improved battle and camera controls" alongside Steam community features.

The release date is as-yet unknown, but it's "coming soon." Expect a press release at E3, though probably not a section in Square's press conference.

Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD is a very different kind of Final Fantasy game. It boasts a fantastic real-time combat system and a huge cast of characters, and is well worth checking out if you set your expectations to realistic levels. After all, it's a port of a PSP game, so don't expect a graphical powerhouse. Find out why in our full review. If you don't want to wait, you can buy Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for £19.85 on PS4.

Whatever you do, though, be sure to prepare for battle with our Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD guide for full character strategies, battle tactics and survival advice!
