Remember the hubbub surrounding Square's confirmation that Final Fantasy XIII would ship on three discs on the Xbox 360? The shock of being forced to stand up, walk over and change discs prompted a surge of vitriolic fanboy debate between Sony and Microsoft supporters, unaware of the fact that the game wasn't very good anyway. However, Square is looking to put things right with the upcoming XIII-2, and a recent report from Japanese mag Famitsu reveals you won't be forced to switch discs this time around, as the game will ship on just one.
However, if you're thinking Square is cutting content and corners to fit it all onto one, think again. Or, at least, listen to director Motomu Toriyama, who explains that the lack of computer generated cutscenes - Square opted for in-game real-time scenes - the size has been considerably cut down. However, it's not all good news... Toriyama confirmed XIII-2 will feature the dreaded QTE segments. The horror. [Andriasang]
