I'm pretty sure that almost everybody I know has become obsessed with at least one Football Manager game at some point in their lives. If you've yet to play any of the titles in the series then why not give the latest instalment a go.
ShopTo are currently flogging copies of the game on the PC for £10.85, which'll save you just over £1 on the next best offer of £11.99 from DVD.co.uk.
Let me start off by saying I'm not a football fan in any shape or form, but for some reason I love playing football manager. The tactical aspect to the game is amazing, you're in complete and utter control of the entire club, from coordinating match tactics to improving the quality of the club's grounds.
In previous instalments you've had the choice of skipping over games, watching the match statistics, or observing the entire game from the stands. In FM2010 the 3D match engine, which was introduced in FM2009, has been improved and as a result you'll find yourself really getting pulled into the action. In fact you're even able to shout out tactics from the sidelines in this instalment, which for me at least has reduced the frustration that usually leads to excessive shouting at the screen.
With 51 playable nations and 115 playable leagues you'll almost certainly be able to take control of your favourite team and attempt to lead them to victory.
