Here’s one for all you football arm chair pundits out there. Grainger Games are offering up copies of Football Manager Live for a very decent £9.99. This is a good deal considering the next cheapest price according to the HUKD post is on MyMemory at £14.95. Even though that price doesn’t include the few extra quid for postage and packaging it’s still a nice saving.

But to make the deal even sweeter Grainger are also offering 4 months free subscription. So if you’re a fan of the Football Manager Series get ready to say bye-bye spare time, as by all accounts this is the best edition to date.

Like its predecessors, Manager Live continues the traditional format. You pick the team; subject them to a rigorous training regime, tailor your own tactics and then, if the fancy takes you, send the likes of Scunthorpe United or Norwich City FC down the road to World Cup glory.

However as you’ve no doubt guessed, FML also gives you the opportunity to pit yourself against players from across the globe. But be warned, the competition is ferocious! Some players put such an ungodly amount of hours into creating the most monstrous, unstoppable eleven man juggernaut; they will have you sinking your teeth into the computer mouse in frustration.

So noobs might find themselves in over their head on this one - and FML is certainly no game for any fragile egos out there! But if you’re man enough to take defeat, like a serious challenge, and not afraid to step out of the comfort zone, what are you waiting for? Let the games begin!
