I can't seem to get enough of Forza 3. It's got the looks, it's got the speed and thanks to it's RPG-style experience and cash system it's got me thoroughly addicted. I've never been a huge fan of pure racing games such as this series and Gran Turismo, and although I dipped my toe in the waters of Forza 2 it never quite had me hooked. This sequel, though, is a staggering achievement. Accessible, deep, rewarding and, most importantly of all....fun!
The Limited Edition comes with VIP pass that'll give you special privileges online, a handful of exclusive cars to use in game, and a 2GB USB Flash stick and keychain. You can pick it up for just under £20 at the moment from Gamestation, which is nearly £7 cheaper than nearest in-stock competitor ShopTo. MyMemory has it listed at £20.85, but they're currently out of stock.
With over 100 tracks and 400 cars to keep you entertained, Forza 3 certainly doesn't lack for content. It looks to appeal to pretty much everyone, from genre newbies to racing veterans, allowing you to tweak and fiddle as much, or as little, as you might like. You can customise almost every facet of the difficulty to make the game as realistic and punishing as you want it to be. You can pimp your rides and then sell them online, all the while pushing forward in the Career Mode to earn more cash, more points, to buy better cars, components and decals. You really are in the driving seat with this one, and it makes all the difference.
There are one or two issues, the lack of 4 player local multiplayer is annoying and the loading times are excruciatingly long, but these are blown away by the presentation and the gameplay. If you're a racing fan who has somehow let this game slip through your grasp up until now then snap this up quick, it's an absolute stormer of a game.
