Forza is essentially Microsoft's answer to the Gran Turismo juggernaut, owned by Sony. But where Sony once ruled the roost, Microsoft have snatched away some of their thunder, capitalising on Sony's sluggish output of the GT series. At its core, Forza is a hardcore racing-simulator, tracking details as minute as heat build-up on your tires. But with the third installment, Forza 3 attempted to woo over the casual crowd, offering new and accessible control methods and automated handling.
Forza is also famous for its customisation options. As well as choosing what colour you want your car to be, you can apply a range of decals and layers, on top or around on another to create symbols, images and even detailed pictures. Talented artists have created vehicles toting Mario, Master Chief, and even the Batmobile! Once you've finished your masterpiece, you can post it on the online auction house, and spark a bidding war.
