I'm a petulant child when it comes to racing games, if it's done in silly karts with all manner of topsy turvy tracks then I am just not interested. Nonetheless, even I can begrudgingly accept that, like the rest of the franchise, the latest Forza offering is an excellent game and if you're a fan of the less ludicrous end of the racing spectrum then you'd be mad to miss it at this price.
Zavvi's awesomely cheap price tag slices a good £2.something off the next best from Shop To and is the lowest I have ever seen for the game.
Forza 3 offers some great eye candy, at least for those who like consider shiny cars a sweet treat, with picture-perfect vehicles and a great selection of tracks. You certainly won't be getting bored either as there is simply masses to do. There's over 400 vehicles on offer from a range of 50 manufacturers and the game allows you to modify and fiddle around with your cars before you hit one of the 100 available tracks. If you get bored of that you move on to the excellent multiplayer options.
The gameplay is spot on and the difficulty perfectly pitched, meaning that it genuinely should appeal to anyone, no matter of their age or ability. The serious racing gamer is no exclusion and there are plenty of incentives to forgo all the assistance that the game offers.
Many have hailed Forza Motorsport 3 as the best racing game ever: hyperbole or not, it's certainly a must have addition to the 360 collection of any fan of the genre.
