Free Fast & Furious Forza Horizon 2 expansion out now - get it standalone on Xbox One & X360

Need something to play over the weekend? Microsoft has you covered with a free standalone expansion for Forza Horizon 2, which you can now download on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The all-new expansion will put players behind the wheel of "iconic vehicles from the Fast & Furious film series," including new cars that will star in Furious 7, which might not suck too badly seeing as the series seems to be on an upward trend.

Most importantly, players do not need to have purchased or played Forza Horizon 2 in order to download and play it. So... do it?

Awesome, thanks for the heads up.

I remember reading on the advert for it on the dashboard though that it was FREE! ...(for a limited time). Any ideas how long this is?

Also does it have achievements and leaderboards and things?

I believe it's free to download until the 10th of April (and goes up to £7.99 from 11/04/15). Will still be free to play after the price kicks in so long as you've added it to your account before then.
I've added it on both One and 360, even though I never turn the 360 on. No harm having it on your account at £0.00 ;)

Looks like the game has a full 1000 achievements available. (Achievement details here)

Cool, cheers,

I'll look forward to that this weekend then, not a bad freebie at all!

@Late & Anarchist: No worries, and thanks Late for providing the extra info - I was a bit slow to notice this!

Should be good. Forza Horizon 2 is one hell of a foundation to build a game on.

After playing through it at the weekend - it did feel a little like a (big) demo for Horizon 2, but thats no bad thing I guess. There was plenty to do, and it was easily the easiest 1000g of my life (might add it on 360 and go through again just so I can cheese another 1000g!)

Totally worked though, immediately bought Horizon 2 afterwards and massively enjoying it.
