Set in the future, when oil and gas are starting to decline, the relationships between the West and the East are becoming increasingly fragile causes new alliances to be formed, and troops are deployed to claim what's left of the Earth's precious resources for their country.
You can pick up a copy of the game for £1.99 from The Game Collection, which is almost £2 cheaper than the next best price of £3.85 coming in from ShopTo.
Instead of running around the map shooting anything in sight that shows up as an enemy, the game focuses you on sitting around the frontline in order to keep control over certain areas of the map. This adds a little bit of strategy into the mix, as the frontline is movable, so it's possible to lose weapons and other items if you're enemies manage to flush you out of key areas.
There are six classes of soldier for you to choose from, each of which are outfitted with different items for completing their job on the battlefield, and include the anti-vehicle, assault, heavy assault, sniper, special operations, and close combat classes. You then have to select a subclass from the following options, ground support, EMP tech, drone tech, and air support.
When you're running around to outflank a group of hostiles or trying to get behind some cover, there's a trick up your sleeve that'll help you to deal with a tricky situation in the form of the various drones that you can rely on for a bit of help. Some of these drones will gather information on your enemies locations, whereas others are armed with gatling guns and some are designed to sacrifice themselves to quickly dispatch your opponents.
£1.99 isn't that much to part with for a game and you'll be getting your hands on a pretty fun shooter, so everybody's a winner.
