Frozen Synapse Headed To iPad

Will Be Fully Cross-Platform

Frozen Synapse is one of the very best games of the 2011, which is doubly impressive considering its small Indie roots and brave take on a stagnating genre. We awarded it with a perfect score in our full review (praising its fast-paced strategic action and novel social network infrastructure), and Mode 7 Games have now announced that it's headed to the iPad next year. The PC version will also be continually updated with new features.

“Despite my lumpen, sausage-like digits, I am particularly excited about Frozen Synapse coming to the iPad,” “I look forward to flicking my little green men around the place with wanton abandon."

“Not only are we doing this iPad thing, but we are also looking at better ways of updating and supporting the game on its current platforms – expect some new things in the New Year.” - Mode 7 Joint Managing Director Paul Taylor

This will make Frozen Synapse a true cross-platform experience, since Taylor has confirmed to us that we can use the same account and play the same matches on both the PC and iPad. We can't wait. More iPad 3 rumours here on our sister site, Mobot.net.

Frozen Synapse is such a unique turn based strategy game that I wrote several guides for it, they’ll be very useful to new and even intermediate players who seek tactics tips and tricks for multiplayer for Frozen Synapse

@FSregular345: Nice one! That's a really useful guide.

Memo to self - check that link later.
(Do we have a subscribe button somewhere? Could just email the url to myself, I suppose, to check when I get home.)

Loved Frozen Synapse, but haven't played it for a few weeks now. Great game - hopefully I'll get back into it when I've more free time.
