We've been raving about Frozen Synapse for some time now, and with good reason - Mode 7's turn-based, tactical stealth-em-up has been shaping up to be an absolute gem of a game.
Finally out of beta, the game will be released this Thursday on May 26th. First of all, the game will be available direct from Mode 7 and via Steam, with those who've been checking out the beta automatically qualifying for a Steam key for the full version come Thursday.
Furthermore, pre-ordering the game will also yield a second game as a gift for a nominated friend, with the offer set to continue post-release 'for a limited time only'.
'We have been working on this bloody game for around four years and it's high time we stopped,' said Joint Managing Director Paul Taylor.
For those not in the know, Frozen Synapse in a turn-based tactics game that sees players assuming an aerial view of a combat area, directing the actions of their squad in 5 second bursts simultaneously before seeing how their tactics play out against one another. The final build of the game will ship a massive 55 missions as part of the singleplayer campaign, 5 multiplayer modes and 15 Steam achievements, including one for beating Mode 7's level designer in a match.
We'll have a review for you soon, but in the interim I strongly suggest you check out Jon's preview.
