Firmware 2.80 contains Hidden Video Resolution?
Take this with a pinch of salt at the moment but The Sixth Axis have reported that the recently released firmware 2.80 contains the ability for the XMB to be displayed at 2560x1080p resolution following the release of the first 21:9 TV. However although the Sixth Axis report this they conclude they have no real evidence as developers are not allowed to talk about the features released in firmware 2.80. If true will the PS3 see games released at better than Full HD resolution? [thesixthaxis]
Konami ID’s to be Ditched
Finally the terrible Konami ID system is to be scrapped which will come as a huge relief to PS3 owners. The system which has been implemented in Konami games such as the Pro Evolution Soccer series and Metal Gear Online will finally be removed in future Konami games allowing for an easier and more enjoyable online experience.
