GAME Launches Spring Clean Fire Sale For Games, Hardware & Accessories

Many of you will have already noticed that GAME and Gamestation are running a 'fire sale' to clean their shelves of pre-owned and even new stock. Which is good news for us, but arguably a worrying state of affairs for the already-floundering retailer. Go check out their Spring Clean Sale and see if you can snag an online bargain while stocks last.

There are also a lot of pre-owned console deals to be had if you're willing to venture into the high street and buy in store. MoneyEyes has rounded up a list of the smartest hardware bargains over at Hot UK Deals, and is an utter legend for doing so. You'll also be able to buy 1200 Microsoft Points for £4.98 in-store, or 800 for £2.98.

At the risk of kicking GAME while they're down, I'd strongly advise you to part with any store credit as soon as possible. If the high street retailer does go into administration or is bought out by another company, you'll likely lose any loyalty points you've saved up.

Had a saunter into my local Gamestation at lunchtime and still couldn't find anything to spend my credit on. (Have managed to reduce my balance to around £15-£20 in the last few months, though, so nearly there...)
Gonna have to have another try on Monday. The recent fire sales are very worrying, especially for the thousands of (mainly young) staff whose jobs are looking extremely perilous.
