GAME Names CEO Successor

Martyn Gibbs To 'Lead GAME Back To Success'

After leaving administration yesterday thanks to a successful deal with OpCapita, GAME has named ex-employee Martyn Gibbs as the new CEO of the company. Gibbs headed up the games division of HMV and WH Smith, was originally the CEO of Gamestation before it was bought out by the GAME Group, and remained a major player in GAME until last year.

“I am delighted to be leading GAME back to success," said Gibbs in a recent statement. "Our immediate priority is to help the GAME and Gamestation teams, so they can give our customers a great Easter in our stores and websites.”

Well that's a great resume for success there... (Scans for sarcasm)

Total agree. I guess that means we can say goodbye to GAME for good in a year or two. I still miss the old Gamestation (pre take over).
