As I stomp around my house much like Godzilla wading through an urban metropolis, I inevitably find myself stepping on things. Breakable things. Things like my Xbox 360 headset. If I was more daintily built perhaps I'd have more luck when accidentally sitting on flimsy bits and pieces of hardware. But I don't.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Headset's are a pretty common thing to have break, and there's nothing more irritating than sitting down hoping to play a game of Halo or MW2 and finding out that you're the only one who can't talk to the team. Unable to listen in on group tactics, or able to pitch in yourself, you invariably sink towards the bottom end of the pile. if you could hear your squadmates, they'd probably be laughing.
Thankfully, Amazon are offering the GameOn headset, which happens to be fully compatible with the X360, for just £2.90, allowing you to replace faulty headsets quickly and cheaply. This is by far the cheapest of the bunch (Microsoft's own being around £15!) and comes out on Friday.
If you get a lot of use out of your headset then it might well be worth going for a sturdier model, and there are plenty of those out there. But if you're just looking for a kind of like-for-like replacement of the Microsoft product that your dog just chewed through then this is probably your best bet.
