Epic is taking a page from the likes of LA Noire and Mortal Kombat's successful 'Season Pass' initiative by unveiling their own for Gears of War 3. For 2400 Microsoft Points - which is around eighteen pounds - you can purchase the Gears of War 3 'Season Pass', rewarding you with early access to four DLC installments due "over the course of the next year". Purchasing said chunks of DLC individually cost 33% more than it would with the Season Pass already bought.
It's a little difficult to invest in such a measure without any sign of what GoW 3's DLC will be like, but Epic has confirmed their post-release content will include single and multiplayer offerings to cater to all their fans. Another carrot Epic is hanging in front of the Season Pass purchase is access to the 'Liquid Metal Weapon Set', which will be bundled in for free. Tell us what you think about all this, and we return to hibernation in wait for Gears 3's release. So... close! [Shack News]
