Stop the presses. Activision are doing something... nice.
Very nice, actually. Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is about to receive a massive free update that adds no less than 40 new stages and extra content to the game, effectively making it double in size for the bargain price of £0.00.
Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved will update the core game with a slate of new challenges and features. It promises to add 40 new stages of fast-paced neon action to Adventure mode, including new boss battles, 3D grid shapes and gameplay types, as well as the mighty Sweeper drone and Detonator super ability. It also revises the previous level gating system, making it much easier for players to progress and unlock their favourite modes.
Moreover, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved includes a number of improvements for die-hard fans. For instance, “Hardcore” mode lets players tackle 20 dedicated levels without using a drone or super, including individual leaderboards for no-loadout purists to compete for high scores.
The update releases on March 31st, 2015 for PS3, PS4 and PC, followed by an Xbox One rollout on April 1st. The full game will henceforth change to Geometry Wars: Dimensions Evolved with the content included as standard.
