At A Glance: Roundup 18th-24th November 2013

The UK got its first taste of next-gen this week with the arrival of the Xbox One and you can expect a full range of reviews over the next week. Jon's working his way through the launch lineup as we speak, well in-between trying new voice commands in the snazzy new menus that is. I'm not getting involved until it'll at least make a me a brew in the morning.

Sadder news elsewhere this week as a batch of Blockbuter stores were closed and then a few days later we heard that the entire chain, including online services are to cease operations, possibly before Christmas. From everyone here at Dealspwn, we wish the staff the best of luck in finding new employment as soon as possible.

The reviews section started with a grand return to form for my favourite PlayStation duo in Ratchet & Clank: Nexus. Then Jon brought us a review of the delightful Vita game, Tearaway and the co-op laser show of CoBots. To make that Christmas shopping list even longer for you we have a verdict on Lego Marvel Super Heroes.Don't worry about A-Men 2 though, nobody needs that. Matt reviewed Contrast and Bioshock Infinite's Burial at Sea DLC and found them both a bit underwhelming. At least Contrast will be free on PS4 is you have PS Plus. Ahead of a full console review, Matt has a review of the PS4's DualShock 4 to keep you going. After all those words, take a break and enjoy Carl's video review of Battlefield 4.

There's a collection of unboxing videos for the impatient amongst you who can't wait to see what the cables look like for your Xbone or PS4. I tried my hands at a Dealspwn Playthrough video for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (don't worry, I don't natter all the way through it). The video footage continues with Matt's video diary for X Rebirth. Can't wait to start mowing down the Helghast on Friday? Then check out Matt's Opening Scenes video for the new Killzone. We put together a few buying guides for shoppers looking into buying a 3DS, 2DS, PS Vita or -if you don't like your kids that much- the Wii U. Carl got back to taunting my non-PC-gaming self by rounding up the latest WildStar info and the team also got together to pen their thoughts about the launches of the new consoles. Stay tuned all next week for the reviews and features of the hottest next-gen titles.
