At A Glance: Roundup 4th-10th November 2013

Not long to go now before next-gen arrives and we've seen a few new promo trailers this week for the PS4 and Xbox One showcasing the features we can look forward too. Both seem to be forgetting about the games a bit though. Elsewhere, the PS3 hit 80 million sales, matching the sales of the 360 right at the end. An obvious highlight though is finally seeing the new Rambo game in action. Yeah, it's been one of those weeks.

Some big names in the reviews section this week, with Assassin's Creed IV coming out on top and showing a fist-pumping return to form. Batman: Arkham Origins is badly in need of a patch or two, as its current state is all sorts of sad. In another instance of giant-killing, Jon wasn't too impressed with Call of Duty: Ghosts, but on the other hand, I really enjoyed the mad feel (makes no sense, just explodes stuff) of the single-player. Matt's been slaying it on the stage this week too with a review of Rocksmith 2014. We've got you covered for niche too, in the shape of a werewolf platformer, Blood of the Werewolf.

This week, we have a new selection of playthrough videos including Call of Duty: Ghosts' Extinction mode and Blackguards. Matt's been on the road getting a hands-on and interview for Dead Rising 3 and an interview for the controversial Ryse: Son of Rome. We know you lot like lists, so we have ones on how to spend your new GTA Online dollars, why ACIV is better than AC3 and some essential preparations you should take before next-gen arrives. Finishing up the week, I sat down and had a good old think about the highs and lows of Call of Duty: Ghosts' single player campaign.
