Kratos' first adventure in mini is considered by most to be an essential purchase for the PSP owner and by many as the best game available for the platform. It is currently available for less than £10 all over the place but Shop To offer the best deal with an asking price of £6.49 - £1.50 cheaper than the next best.
Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the original God of War title and is set halfway through Kratos' ten years of service to the gods in payment to Ares. He has been sent to Attica to help protect the city against the Persian invaders but it turns out there is more going on behind the scenes than first meets the eye...
This game is famed for its fantastic visuals and, for a handheld, it certainly does not disappoint. At the time there was nothing that could touch it and even now it stands head and shoulders above most other titles in a beauty contest. Furthermore you rarely see a loading screen throughout the whole game!
The gameplay is great fun; gory, intense and furious. Kratos has managed to keep hold of virtually all his moves during his transition to the PSP so you can continue that much loved, traditional God of War combat. Kratos remains as over the top and hilarious as ever with great voice acting bringing him to life. The PSP version does not offer much new in the way of gameplay but when said gameplay is this much fun in the first place why fix what aint broke?
