Grand Theft Auto V has completely outsold its predecessor in the UK despite only being on sale for less than a month, and without a PC version. Meanwhile, Hot Cakes share prices have reportedly slumped in the face of a potential new standard.
According to UKIE, GTA V reached the ambitious milestone this week, becoming the 12th best-selling game of all time on British shores. In terms of revenue, Rockstar's crime sandbox has also hit 5th place, with only Call Of Duty titles edging it out. Considering that GTA V only hit shelves last month, this is a seriously impressive achievement... and there's nowhere to go but up.
Rockstar are still ironing out numerous issues with Grand Theft Auto Online, the game's ambitious but somewhat broken multiplayer suite. Carl reckons that it's fantastic fun when it works.
