No, It's Not A Killer7 Sequel
Goichi "Suda51" Suda has revealed Grasshopper Manufacture's latest project as Killer Is Dead. Set for a 2013 launch, this new PS3/Xbox 360 game intends to rekindle the swordplay-focused assassination gameplay of No More Heroes and Killer7, though Siliconera reports that it's not a direct sequel to Killer7 despite the suggestive title.
Killer Is Dead will be fully revealed in next month's edition of Famitsu magazine, but we currently know a few choice details. Players will assume the role of a condemned prisoner who sets out to kill his erstwhile assassin, with gameplay exploring espionage elements and "the dark side" of being an international super-spy. It will also feature lots of "beautiful Bond Girl-like ladies" according to Andriasang.
Lollipop Chainsaw creator Kadokawa Games will be taking the development role in partnership with Grashopper Manufacture, marking the latest in a series of collaborations. Sine Mora, developed in conjunction with Digital Reality, recently released to critical acclaim, and will be followed by Lollipop Chainsaw, Black Knight Sword and Kinect title Diabolical Pitch.
