Gravity Rush 2 Confirmed, But at The Last Guardian's Cost?

A Gravity Rush 2 trailer has been spotted on the show floor at this week's Tokyo Game Show. Sony were not disclosing any further details at the time, but it's likely staff from their Sony Japan department are once again working on the cel-shaded floating action platformer.

Does this mean that resources are once again being drawn away from The Last Guardian as Sony recently confirmed that the development of other Sony Japan titles like Knack and Puppeteer had taken priority over the long-delayed title. It's something of a surprise to see Gravity Rush of all titles get a sequel greenlit ahead of completing The Last Guardian. It must have sold better than we thought in Japan.

Not that we're adverse to another crack at Gravity Rush. If they can calm down that camera, it may well prove to be the essential title the first game desperately wanted to be. More importantly, any chance of another Uncharted title on the Vita too Sony? Trailer after the break.

Hey, I really liked Gravity Rush :)

If you add a Facebook/Twitter social login to your site you might get more comments? It's a pain to remember my login for here so on most articles I just read and don't comment.

Gravity Rush was OK, but given the choice, Last Guardian any day.

Betachef, out of a question... how do you manage to login to Facebook or Twitter?

@bob2008: Actually Studio Japan are mainly handling The Last Guardian, which has been put on the back burner to prioritise Puppeteer and Knack. AFAIK Team ICO are effectively a skeleton crew at the moment, and even Ueda was working as a freelance consultant last time we heard.

EDIT: I was deeply disappointed by Gravity Rush ( http://www.dealspwn.com/game-year-2012-staff-highlights-jonathan-lester-123986 ) - it was a decent game, but feel it wasted its unique mechanics on a very repetitive brawler. I really want a sequel though, feel there's a huge amount of untapped potential there.

Betachef, out of a question... how do you manage to login to Facebook or Twitter?

You would click a button on Dealspwn which would take you to Facebook which would then ask if it's okay for Dealspwn to take your name and email address. If you say yes, your Facebook account is used to log in without any password needed for Dealspwn. Lots of sites do it these days, I've even done it for my work's site, it's easy and there's lots of plugins about. With Dealspwn it's not just that you have to remember a username and password, it's that it logs you out pretty much between every comment you make. 'Remember me' doesn't work and yes I do have cookies enabled and they work with other sites.
