Chances are you know that Batman: Arkham Knight is a bit of a mess on PC, but Warner Bros, the creators behind the port are working on a patch.
Naturally you can claim a refund if you bought it on Steam and played it for less than two hours, but that's not an option if you bought a Steam key from a reseller. Thankfully, in a classy move, Green Man Gaming has pledged to process refunds if Arkham Knight remains unplayable on your PC after Warner Bros releases a fix.
"We want you to enjoy your game, but if after the fix has been released, you still cannot play your game, we will process refund requests for the game."
In the meantime, be aware that AMD and NVIDIA have released beta drivers to hopefully improve performance. WB also suggests you follow these guidelines to maximise performance on less beefy systems:
Minimum Hardware Specs
- Resolution: 1280x720
- V-Sync: Off
- Anti-Aliasing: Off
- Texture Resolution: Low
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Level of Detail: Low
- Interactive Smoke/Fog: Off
- Interactive Paper Debris: Off
- Enhanced Rain: Off
- Enhanced Light Shafts: Off
- Expected: 30fps (capped)
...which will probably make C64 games look like Crysis.
