GTA III And Vice City Rated As PS2 Classics

The ESRB have recently re-rated GTA III and GTA Vice City as PS2 Classics for the Playstation 3, indicating that a PSN release for two of Rockstar's finest is almost certainly on the cards. San Andreas was notable by its absence, and the PS2 Classics download service is still yet to make the jump to Europe.

Mind you, if you've got an early PS3 model, backwards-compatibility with discs is still an option.

GTA III recently released in its entirety on iOS and Android. [Siliconera]

Classics they may have ben but looked terrible on the PS2 compared to the Xbox and PC versions, the textures were horrendous.

When GTA 3 came out it was the best thing ever (for me and my mates I played it with at least). It was so new and big and a real jump forward in gaming.

Sadly, I doubt it will have aged that well. Though I think I still have my PS2 copy and I have the 60gb release PS3 so could try it out anyways. Bit if it can run on iOS then it must be bad!

It's currently the best Android action game, according to Mashable's Top 10:

I've never played GTA 3 - only 1, 2 and 4.
