Wow... just wow. For those who say that the consoles are not in need of an update, take a look at this.

Well, for anyone interested, the card is amazing. At stock it is the fastest single GPU on the planet and it also OCs quite nicely and easily... which for a lot of people will be important.

It has new features that mean it ramps the clock speed up and down as needed, to save you power and therefore heat and money.
Some avid OCers I have chatted to about this hate it... but then again it is change and people are bound to hate it. I love it, it means that my card runs nice and cool, about 75c when stressed.

The card, once given a tiny OC, beats my SLI pair of GTX 480s which is very nice indeed. They ran so hot, hitting over 100c easily. The power I would save here too would mean I can probably afford the second GTX 680 in a month or so too.

This sort of innovation makes me sad that there are talks about the PS4 using AMD graphics. Though AMD have come a long way now, I do feel that Nvidia are still the leaders in innovation and performance.

Talking of which, when you see how smoothly and pretty games run on this card it beggars belief that there are people out there, even in the gaming industry that say we do not need the next gen yet. It's just crazy. Even if your games are programmed the same but you dial up the frames per second and AA or AF they will be so much better.

Anyways, enough rambling as by now I am sure that most people interested in the GTX 680 will already know all about it.

Well done Nvidia.
