ArenaNet will increase the amount of loot given out to Guild Wars 2 players, after brave heroes discovered a flaw in the way it's handed out.
Players have been badgering Arena.net with complaints that loot isn't being dished out as regularly as it should be. Champion mobs ought to reward players with new kit... right? After checking their loot tables and finding them to be perfect, the developer realised that the problem lay elsewhere. You can read the full explanation on the Guild Wars 2 forums, but in simple terms, the mathematics that decide how often loot should be dropped - and who to - was broken, leading to players receiving far less than their fair share of instanced gear. The fix will be delivered as part of February's Flame & Frost update.
I've been playing Guild Wars 2 for about a fortnight now, and for me, there may be no going back. I'd heartily urge you to check out Carl's full review (and join the mighty Byskk and Harry McGarnagle on Desolation...).
