Guitar Hero 5 & Wireless Guitar plus free Guitar Hero World Tour pre-order 69.99 @ Play [XBOX/PS3/Wii Games]With the imminent release of Guitar Hero 5, which is dubbed to contain a host of new in game features and be even more socially interactive than its predecessors, Play.com are currently offering customers the chance to pre-order a ‘Guitar Bundle’ containing GH 5, World Tour and a guitar controller. As this deal is priced £69.99 customers are essentially getting World Tour for free, as this is the price which Guitar Hero 5 and the guitar will be retailing at on its release date (11/9/09). Note this deal applies to all console formats.

Guitar Hero 5 will be similar to World Tour in the sense that it involves up to four players playing simultaneously as part of a virtual band. However Guitar Hero 5 aims to be more socially inclusive with new features such as drop in/drop out play, the ability for players to combine whatever instruments they choose, and a Rockfest mode. These allow players from all different levels to come together for a broader gaming experience which also extends to the online arena.Guitar Hero 5 & Wireless Guitar plus free Guitar Hero World Tour pre-order 69.99 @ Play [XBOX/PS3/Wii Games]

A few new features which contribute GH5's sense of open ended gameplay include the fact star power is no longer tracked for the band as a whole but for each player individually - in a manner which is similar to Rockband. Party Play mode allows players to jump in and out of a song even while the band is playing in order to switch instruments and difficulty. Overall there is a huge array of customization options on offer, many more modes and sub modes, and over eighty classic rock tunes to sink your teeth into.

Thanks, but I'll save £65 and play with my wireless air guitar in my underpants.
