Microsoft has confirmed that Halo 4 is getting a Game Of The Year edition in October, following a premature leak from IGN.
“A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place," reads Microsoft's statement. "We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.”
IGN's original story was based on a suggestive screenshot, confirming that the package includes Spartan Ops Season 1, the War Games map pass (granting access to the three DLC map packs) and the Champions Bundle. It will also contain all the pre-order and Limited Collector's Edition incentives.
If you're not buying into the next console generation this year, I suppose you'll be able to send this one off with a bang.
