Play have unleashed a cracking deal for the remake of Master Chief’s debut. £8 is all they are asking for in one of the lowest prices we’ve seen for the Anniversary Edition. A saving of £7 is currently separating it from the next best offer.
343 Industries have done a good job bringing the original Halo in glorious HD, showing that the game that proved FPS’s could work on consoles is still as enjoyable today as it was a decade ago. The multiplayer may be a little lacking overall, but at a sub-£10 price this is a superb bargain. Thanks to DestinyCalls815 @ HUKD!
If you're a Halo fan who missed out on the original game when it first came out, or you're just looking to revisit some good memories, Zavvi can help you out seeing as they're parting with copies of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for £12.95, which should save you £2 on the next best offers out there. Unfortunately, the multiplayer's not really up to the usual standards of the series and there aren't that many extras included with the game.
Those looking to relive the Master Chief’s debut on the cheap will want to pay attention to this once. Gamestation’s daily deal as part of the festive season means you can get hold of the remake for £20, saving you almost £3 over the next best price at Amazon.

Halo: Combat Evolved still stands proud as a truly exceptional and thoroughly superior FPS. The Anniversary edition reminds us of why we fell in love with its enormous dynamic battles and sprawling levels thanks to a complete graphical overhaul, but in the full review, I had to acknowledge that the weak multiplayer suite and extras mean that it's not an attractive proposition at full price. If you missed Simply Games' shortlived £24.85 price point, ShopTo are now on point with the next cheapest offering and a £2 saving.
This one's really just for Halo connoisseurs and those out there who were maybe a little too young to appreciate the brilliance of the original game the first time around, seeing as you'll be running around the same campaign shooting the same hostile aliens. However, this time around the game supports online co-op and there are plenty of addictive multiplayer modes to take part in.
