Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar Headed To Europe

Rising Star Games has announced that Nintendo DS farming sim Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar will be released in the PAL market by the end of the year. This latest iteration of the franchise contains new characters, crops and several new updates - and we have the full details below for your eager delectation.

Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar takes place in Zephyr Town, where a once-flourishing marketplace has fallen into disuse and disrepair. Players are tasked with taking over a farm and providing produce for the bazaar that will ultimately renovate the flagging town into a champion of industry once again. As well as new characters to interact with and crops/animals to take care of, Grand Bazaar also adds a new jump option that lets players bound over obstacles, the ability to combine items at mills and the ownership of "multiple pets" to help out at the farm.

The PAL version has been slated for "2011" on Nintendo DS - and with Rising Star behind the localisation, we can expect a solid port. Despite the region-free US version releasing last year, managing Director Martin DeFries is confident that the brand's venerable legacy and strong fan support will ensure brisk sales.

Harvest Moon is Rising Star Games’ flagship brand – we have successfully released more than a dozen Harvest Moon titles. With a legacy spanning over twenty years, this is the series that started the farming genre. We will continue the success of this great series with the release of Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar for the Nintendo DS in 2011. - Martin Defries, Rising Star Games

We'll keep an eye on Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar - and I daresay that a full review will be forthcoming in due time.
