Hearthstone open beta goes live, say goodbye to your productivity

After a lengthy closed beta and a month's delay, Blizzard have opened the floodgates for everyone to test out Hearthstone: their staggeringly addictive Warcraft CCG. It's already shaping up to be a compelling thief of time, which you can now download from your Battle.net account. Blizzard confirms that there won't be any more card wipes, so you can start amassing your collection without fear (though expect occasional nerfs, tweaks and potentially some technical hiccups as the entire internet descends upon their servers).

Perhaps in an unrelated note, productivity has been forecast to slump across the EU. Seriously, don't download it if you've got anything important planned over the next week or so. Perhaps Carl's Hearthstone video preview might be a better place to start if you're not currently sold on the idea?

Highly anticipated this game and it is good. What is not good is a ratio of maybe 3 or 4 cards per-purchasable 100 decks (which contain 5 cards each) to get a legendary. The odds of good cards are too low. They did get $20 out of me, which is deserved, but after learning the odds, I won't be giving them any more of my money.
