Massive Hack & Slash Update Ready For Action!

COLTRAN Studios, a veteran indie outfit with experience working for Midway and Day 1 Studios, has released Hearts Of Men: Throne Of Deceit on PC. We awarded the original with our Xbox Live Indie Game Of The Week trophy... and after going back to the drawing board for this new version, COLTRAN has delivered a massive new definitive version that will completely change the face of the game as well as adding a huge amount of extra content.

The Hearts Of Men: Throne Of Deceit is now available on PC for $2, and is tentatively scheduled to release on the Xbox Live Marketplace between 6th-10th December pending Microsoft certification (where it will replace the existing title on the XBL indie marketplace) . It packs a a host of new features that bring the project in line with more modern hack & slash games while taking full advantage of the luscious hand-drawn art style. A new 8-player cooperative mode, a persistent upgrade system and revamped AI will all be making an appearance- along with 28 pages of COLTRAN's trademark comic book artwork.

More details below.

New Additions:

  • 28 pages of comic art
  • 2 new levels featuring new mechanics
  • All new enemy AI and Pathfinding
  • Upgrade and currency system
  • Multiplayer (8 Players, 4 modes)
  • Arcade Mode featuring "Misery's Playhouse" (4 player co-op)
  • Dash/Teleportation

  • All boss battles enhanced
  • Redesigned User Interface
  • Enhanced Gameplay
  • Soundtrack/Sound Effects

Stay tuned for our review - we can't wait to see how months of preparation have paid off.

It appears the price has now gone back up to the regular $2 so that offer must have been for yesterday. Still worth it though!
