BAFTA award-winning composer Normand Corbeil, the man who provided the phenomenally atmospheric score for Heavy Rain contributed to Fahrenheit and Beyond: Two Souls has sadly succumbed to pancreatic cancer, and died at the age of 56.
Posted the news on The Cancer Forum [via 8bitfix], his son revealed that Corbeil - who was diagnosed with cancer in August last year - passed away on Friday, calling him "a great composer and an amazing dad."
Corbeil lived in Montreal, and won a BAFTA back in 2011 for his work on Heavy Rain. e's credited as providing "additional music" for Fahrenheit, and was known to be working on the score for Beyond, although it is not yet known whether that work had been completed at the time of his passing.
