Telltale games have dropped us a line to announce that Hector: Badge Of Carnage, their anarchic police comedy, will be out next week on PC, Mac and iPad. It follows the misadventures of fat, flatulent British cop Hector as he counters a bizarre terrorist plot in a sleepy small town, and is set to deliver the same quirky laughs that we've come to expect from Telltale.
Not only that, but preorder customers get a free copy of Puzzle Agent. Full details below.
Hector: Badge Of Carnage Episode 1 will release on April 27th, and fans of adventure games should be in for a real treat. Hector is as anarchic, silly and hilarious as you'd expect from a Telltale title - and I'll let them explain what it's all about.
Hector, a tough-talking, soft-bellied British cop —known by some as “the fat arse of the law”— is a flawed misanthrope with an unhealthy taste for all things criminal or smothered in curry. When terrorists strike in the crime-ridden town of Clapper’s Wreake, this drunken lawman becomes the only hope for justice. Now, the flatulent detective has a choice to make: carry out the terrorist’s curiously altruistic demands, or watch as his fellow officers are picked off one by one. Hector is still on the fence.
It's currently available to preorder at Telltale for $9.99, which includes a free download of Puzzle Agent that can be redeemed immediately. 10% of preorder profits will also be donated to the Japanese disaster relief efforts.
Note, however, that episodes 2 and 3 are slated for later this year. I hope you like cliffhangers.
