No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle Preorder £19.90 @ MyMemory [Nintendo Wii Games]

The original No More Heroes, was a ballsy, bizarre and blood-soaked blast that came on like a breath of fresh air for those of us who bought Wiis for more than just brain training and incessant mini games.

My Memory are currently offering the best price of £20.95 and with their May voucher code you can get Desperate Struggle for just £19.90. This gives you a saving of at least £2.50 compared with other online retailers, the cheapest of whom, Cool Shop, are asking £22.49.

To get 5% off and take the price down to £19.90, use the following voucher code: may5mm

Despite the game not being released until the end of next week, MyMemory are claiming to have the game in stock, ready for dispatch within 24 hours. However, it's best to just assume this is an error and expect your game on the 28th so there's no chance of disappointment.

It's been three years since Travis Touchdown walked away from his position as the top assassin in the United Assassins Association but now he is back to take on Skelter Helter who is out for blood following Travis's killing of his brother, Helter Skelter. However this is just the beginning of a series of bizarre events in the crazy world of Santa Destroy, which, Travis discovers, has undergone some huge changes since he left.

The first No More Heroes game was a lot of fun and a real change from the usual Wii fare but it suffered from a few killer flaws. Desperate Struggle is a far more streamlined affair which plays to the strengths of the original while cutting down on the problems. It's a thrill ride from start to finish and the problems that it does suffer from—dodgy camera, frame rate lag, repetitive enemies and the odd duff boss battle—don't detract from the enjoyment that you can have with it. It's one of the best looking titles available on the Wii, with a great style all of its own and the combat is awesomely fun.

The main campaign can easily be tackled in around 10-12 hours but there's plenty of bits and pieces to flesh it out if you want a longer lasting experience.
