Following on from last weeks news that Hideo Kojima's latest project may have been cancelled, the man himself has confirmed via Twitter he won't be attending E3 this year. He'd already denied reports of popping up in Microsoft's conference, but now it appears he'll be a complete no-show. However, with Konami hosting a pre-E3 event on June 2nd in advance of the likes of Nintendo and Microsoft's big conferences, there's a chance the Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders creator might make an unofficial appearance.
"Since I decided not to go to E3," begins Kojima's tweet, "I made an interview video hastily. Asked Mr McDonald (former editor at EGM/1up.com) to be an interviewer". It's an interesting choice of words, with Kojima himself deciding not to turn up in Los Angeles. Maybe he was hoping to show off his latest project before its abrupt termination.
In better news, Kojima has also reported on recording for a mysterious project. It's unclear exactly what he's recording for, but Kojima notes the voice-overs made him feel "nostalgic-ish". Nostalgia, you say? Is Kojima returning to an old property? We've long hoped for a Zone of the Enders remake here at Dealspwn. What do you think, Dealspwners? [Twitter]
