Square Enix have announced that Hitman: Blood Money will be the latest title of theirs to be added to the Core Online program - an initiative that allows gamers to engage in high definition gaming experiences for free, through the browser and ad support.
Hitman: Blood Money, originally released in 2006 for PC and consoles, follows platform adventure title Mini Ninjas onto the service, with Lara Croft: Guardian of Light slated to arrive next.
Core Online essentially offers gamers the chance to play through entire titles for free, earning game time by sifting through video ads. As with most free-to-play models, you can skip the ads buy buying individual levels or complete games.
“We’re delighted to be adding Hitman: Blood Money to the Core Online service,” said David Guldbrandsen, Studio Manager Core Online. “Since we first launched Core Online we’ve been working hard on getting the right level of choice for gamers to experience high definition games in the browser environment.”
“Together with those titles already announced – and there are lots more to come – we’re really looking forward to seeing the service grow.”
