HMV is officially ditching their pre-owned games business, which has proved to be less than successful for the chain over the last few years. However, they're now flogging their remaining stock at a 70% discount, including next-gen titles.
The news has been all over Twitter this morning, with numerous customers reporting that HMV is selling pre-owned games at a ludicrous markdown. Some branches are selling Xbox One copies of Call Of Duty: Ghosts at £13.50, for example, and FIFA 14 for a cool £12. It's unsurprising that the retailer are looking to downsize their videogame offerings, seeing as they struggle to compete with online stores and GAME.
