If you're an early Homefront adopter currently suffering from a slew of in-game freezes, you can relax, as THQ has issues a patch on LIVE to rectify the issue. No, this isn't an April Fools Joke. Nor is it particularly funny. It's just simple, to-the-point news. And in other occupied America-related news, Homefront is due a "wide range of exciting DLC" very soon.
The 'profile freezing' issue certain Homefront users were reporting had plagued an otherwise smooth experience, so the release of this patch should help ensure Homefront's moderate success - which hinges almost completely on its multiplayer component - can continue. I've yet to sample it, but I hear nothing but good things about Homefront's multiplayer. Although the less said of the campaign, the better.
THQ is keeping pretty quiet about the DLC, but I think we can expect the usual raft of map packs and possibly some new in-game content, like guns and vehicles. Would an expanded single-player portion be asking too much? [Joystiq]
