The PSP's somewhat lacklustre answer to Nintendo's Wario Ware is a reasonably fun prospect despite never quite picking up the frantic pace of the games that it tries so hard to emulate.
Despite its drawbacks, it is well worth investing the £5 that Ministry of Deals are asking for the game today, especially as you get a free accessory pack with your order. The next best price for the game alone is £6.99 from Cool Shop.
As Ministry of Deals change their offers every day you only have about four hours to snap this deal up!
Hit Pixel is a mini game collection which feels an awful lot like, you've guessed it, Wario Ware. There are ten stages, all based around street and yoof culture and apparently there is some sort of story but you may have to dig deep in the manual to discover it.
Despite the fact that the developers have clearly tried to dress Hot Pixel up as an entity entirely unto itself, it feels highly derivative, no matter how many "cool" graphics are pasted on screen. The constant references to street culture are actually really quite corny and hackneyed and the game's desperation to be seen as hip only serves to make it all the more embarrassing.
The game is not dreadful but it's really only worth purchasing if you want to know what all the fuss surrounding the Wario Ware games is without buying a Nintendo console. Play Hot Pixel & imagine your enjoyment increased ten-fold and you should get the right idea.
