House of the dead:Overkill £10.99 @ Cool shop [Wii Games]House of the Dead: Overkill has to be one of the most over the top and hilarious titles currently going on the Wii. This is a game which provides hours of fun - particularly in multiplayer mode – as you and a friend battle your way through hordes of mutants; blasting the limbs off everything from homicidal football players and mad rednecks, to nurses and sinister IT – style - clowns. Currently this title is going for £10.99 from Coolshop which gives you a nice saving on the next best price of £14.98 from Game Station.

The story of House of the Dead: Overkill is fairly superficial as you might expect. It basically follows two cops, the rookie Agent G and cocky Isaac Washington, as they rampage their way through various levels blowing away anything that moves and hunting down the main villain Papa Caesar.

Of course, as this is a House of the Dead Game, Overkill keeps you on a predetermined path, and all you need to worry about is wiping out anything that gets in your way. However you are allowed to explore for any items which might be lurking in your peripheral vision such as weapon upgrades and extras, which can be snagged as you move through the levels.House of the dead:Overkill £10.99 @ Cool shop [Wii Games]

The game has some great visuals, which many reviewers describe as some of the best on the Wii. However, one of the main problems with House of Dead: Overkill is that it is not very challenging. In fact, it’s dead easy, but then again this is more of a tongue– in- cheek style survival horror which is good fun, and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
