Whilst the Steam sale's currently offering big savings on big titles, there are a few great Indie offerings to be snaffled up by discerning gamers. Chief amongst the independent offers are the two Summer Indie Game Packs. Each pack contains five top Indie Games, and the savings you'll make are around 60%. Considering that Steam is the only way of getting your hands on several of these games, this is a great deal. It's time to show the Indie devs some love!
- Click here to buy the Northern Lights Indie Pack (Blueberry Garden, Bob Came in Pieces, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Plain Sight, Saira) for £14.99 from Steam
The biggest deal to be had here is Crayon Physics Deluxe. Garnering an impressive 79% on Metacritic, you'll draw shapes and objects to solve some complex physics-based puzzles. A graphics pad or touchscreen will seriously improve the experience, but it's still a phenomenal indie title that retails at £15.99 by itself. For £1 less than you'd usually spend on Crayon Physics, you'll also net the artistic Blueberry Garden, the epic puzzle-flier Bob Came in Pieces, slicey dicey Plain Sight and non-linear platformer Saira. This bundle would otherwise cost £42.85 by itself!
- Click here to buy the Summer Indie Action Pack (AaAaAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity , Gridrunner Revolution, Metal Drift, Starscape, Zombie Driver) for £14.99 from Steam
This second bundle isn't quite so impressive in terms of raw savings... but it does feature some seriously impressive games. AaAaAA!!! wowed critics and indie gamers alike by letting us base jump through a beautiful floating city (scoring a whopping 81% on Metacritic). Metal Drift offers manic explosive racing action and Starscape mixes classic arcade shooting with eyepopping graphics as we reassemble a powerful space station and learn the secrets of the Grid Dimension.
