Infinity Blade, Chair's staggeringly successful Unreal-powered fantasy action action app, has received a free update today that adds a multiplayer mode to the formla. Known as Infinity Blade: Arena, this patch allows players to assume the role of the Titan or Knight and challenge their friends to 1 on 1 duels via Game Centre. There's also a whole host of extras included in the update, and we've got the full details below.
As well as the Game Centre-powered multiplayer shenanigans, Infinity Blade: Arena includes a survival mode that pits players against neverending hordes of Titans; featuring its own leaderboards that ranks players by how far they manage to get.
Two dozen new items have been added to the store, along with a selection of 'Holiday Helms' that are based on different seasons. Naturally there are also plenty of new Game Centre achievements to grind for. Facebook integration has been also been slotted into the experience, which reportedly allows players to view their character on their profile as well as posting screenshots. Hurray, more notifications!
Finally, Epic promise that: "Much more!" and "some new surprises" has been added to the experience, and if you've found anything particularly nifty, let us know in the comments!
