Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare 3 Does Not Have A Lead Platform
A tweet from IW's creative strategist Robert Bowling has assured fans that there's been no lead platform during the development of Modern Warfare 3. [via CVG]

'We don't have lead platforms, we develop each version alongside each other,' said Bowling. 'Xbox 360 is running at same as PS3'.

This should serve to allay some PS3 fans' fears after they expressed some concerns about the X360 enjoying preferential treatment during the development process.

He added that, if anything, it is the PC version that will get 'unique optimisations', confirming that the game will be locked at 60 FPS to allow for the series' frenetic, slick action.

The first trailer for the game went live earlier this week and Activision confirmed that the game will release across all platforms on November 8th.
