It's been quite a while since Insomniac revealed their partnership with mega-publisher EA, distancing themselves from their nominally exclusive agreement with Sony to a multiplatform future. Yet another victory from the EA Partners scheme, it appears we might finally lay eyes on this new IP at EA's annual E3 conference.
"In case you missed it -- we are announcing our new universe and multiplatform game at EA's press conference," reads their official Twitter feed. Insomniac's previous efforts, the fan-favorite Ratchet and Clank and Resistance series prompted a surge of sequels and mass-media properties, and Insomniac's employing of the word 'universe' suggests they're looking to establish a similar brand here, too.
At the moment, it's all a mystery as to what Insomniac is working on. It's a new IP, we know that; but the company has resisted all leaks up till now. It's always nice to see a developer attempt another universe, rather than sitting comfortable in a stagnating world of decreasing interest.
