Iwata: Paid Animal Crossing DLC Would Be "Unwholesome"

Nintendo have been incredibly cautious in their approach towards paid DLC, and fans will be pleased to hear that Animal Crossing: New Leaf will only feature free downloadable content, with president Satoru Iwata suggesting that the effects of monetising a franchises such as Animal Crossing via paid DLC would be "unwholesome".

Speaking at a recent financial Q&A, Kotaku report that Iwata noted "that the power of money could not only impact gameplay, but change it, perhaps even making the experience unwholesome."

"That sort of element [paid DLC] is absolutely not being added," he added.

Bravo, Nintendo. Bravo.
