Jackass the Game £4 @ MoD [DS Games] It might not be one of the most critically acclaimed titles of recent times, but still, you can get hold of Jackass the Game on the Nintendo DS for just £4 which gives you a decent saving compared with the next best price. According to price comparison the next best offer comes in at a massive comes £9.49 from Coolshop. So, as the Uksel from Hotukdeals points out, this one might make a good stocking filler, although bear in mind, this deal expires tomorrow (18/11/09).

Unusually for the Nintendo DS, the developers behind Jackass the Game opted for an open-world style of gameplay, and conceptually, the game did have a lot of promise. However the main problem with this Jackass adaptation is that it’s just been poorly executed and, in the end, it’s quite clear that the developers were being overly ambitious. Despite the fact that there is already a Jackass game out on the PSP – which by all accounts isn’t too bad – developers at Sensory Sweep decided to take things in a completely different direction.

The game is probably best described – and this is how IGN put it – as a ‘Tony Hawk where you do dumb things’, which actually sounds like it could be pretty cool. However the whole thing has just turned out really bodged. Most of the Jackass crew are there but it can sometimes be hard to tell who’s who as they are no voiceovers and the illustrations are a bit lame. Similarly, the graphics and programming are poor, and the controls, well, to be quite honest; they’re a bit of a nightmare.Jackass the Game £4 @ MoD [DS Games] About the only thing the game does well are the rag-doll physics which, for the DS, are quite impressive. This isn’t one you’d want to be paying full price for but at £4, you could certainly do a lot worse.

Thanks to Uksel from Hotukdeals.
