"It's Not A Reboot, It's A Reset!"

Full Control, the independent studio behind the upcoming Space Hulk iOS reboot, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowd-fund a new Jagged Alliance title. Flashback is billed as both a "reset" and a prequel, telling the story of the founding of A.I.M. while "bringing back the tactical turn-based action that the original Jagged Alliance games are known for - the game was a thinking man's game, a thinking man with lots of guns!"

We've got the pitch after the break, which will help you decide whether to contribute to the $350,000 target.

As a high-level turn based squad strategy game with strong role-playing elements, Jagged Alliance: Flashback promises to offer major decisions both on and off the battlefield, memorable characters and a new base-building mechanic that allows players to craft a home away from home. Handily, they've rounded up the salient points into a convenient picture.

Jagged Alliance: Flashback Takes Aim At Kickstarter

Full Control have identified Windows PC, Mac and Linux as the primary platforms, with a view to distributing DRM-free copies. They'll plan to enter pre-production while finishing off Space Hulk, and then get cracking as soon as their Warhammer 40K tie-in ships.

You can read the full Kickstarter pitch for more details, which seeks $350,000 over the next 30 days. Does this grab you, Jagged Alliance fans?
